Most detailing websites are a logo, a paragraph about passion, and a phone number. The work is on Instagram. The booking happens in the DMs. The website does nothing.
Here is what a detailing site needs if it is going to earn its keep. This is what we build into every one, and it is what NSD Mobile Detailing's 28-page rebuild and Polos Performance's booking site are made of.
1. Before and after, first, on a phone
A customer who saw your ceramic coating on Instagram wants to see it again, bigger, on the site, with the before next to it. That means real photos of your work, loaded fast on a phone, above everything else. Not stock images. Not a paragraph.
2. Packages with prices
Wash, interior, full detail, paint correction, ceramic. Each with a starting price by vehicle size. Customers who cannot find a price assume it is expensive and move on. Starting-at prices with the exact quote confirmed by you keeps control on your side and stops the "how much?" DMs.
3. Booking that ends in a text to you
The customer picks a package, a vehicle size, and a time. The booking is saved somewhere real, and you get an email and a text before they close the tab. If you take deposits, take them here, so a no-show costs them and not you. Polos Performance runs a live slot calendar with deposits ready; NSD runs a 5-step booking wizard.
4. Pages for the searches people actually type
"Ceramic coating Duluth." "Mobile detailing Hermantown." "Interior detail near me." Each of those deserves its own page with real content, because Google matches pages to searches, not businesses to searches. A site with one page competes for one search.
5. Speed
Google's own tool, pagespeed.web.dev, gives every site a mobile score. Most detailing sites we test come in between 40 and 70. Every site we ship is built to 100, and the sites in our portfolio run Lighthouse 100s on every page. Speed is a ranking factor and it is the difference between a customer waiting or leaving.
What you can skip
- A blog you will never update
- Stock photos of cars you did not detail
- A chatbot
- Autoplay music, animations that delay the content, anything that makes a phone stutter
Where Instagram fits
Instagram stays the portfolio and the place customers discover you. The site is where they book and where Google sends people who have never heard of you. Link them both ways.
